Profession Experience:

BAE Systems - Wayne, NJ Principal Software Engineer - 1999 to December 2009

Updated the MIDS LVT Test software to simulate a new MUX Host platform interface to the MIDS terminal. System written in C++ and ADA.

Updated and improved software, written in C++, for the Multi-Terminal ATP Test equipment (MTATs) software used by the Production Department to ATP various radios both new and repaired including War Effort equipment. Also supported effort to identifying hardware problems with cabling and with the test RF and TACAN simulation equipment.

On JTRS GMR, participated in the design, implementation, integration and ATP of test software used to verify the Red Switch Processor software. The test ran from a PC running Linux (Gentoo) and interacted with an open chassis containing the CORE PowerPC board, CSS board and Red Switch and Red Switch Processor boards. The code written in C++ using CORBA interfaces, RSS (Radio Security Service) software and Harris developed CSS code. Wrote all release documentations and re-wrote the final ATP document and performed successful ATP testing with customers.

Performed Rational Rose unit testing of Doppler/Global Positioning System Navigation System (DGNS) code along with participating in “Fagan styled“ code inspections of all the software.

Worked on modifications to Inertial Measuring Unit test software written in C with a CVI GUI running on a PC. Software helped control testing as well as record and analyze data during Environmental Chamber of multiple units.

Prepared Software Department Project Metrics Summary Reports, helped in the planning and preparation of the Software Department Quarterly meeting and updated the Software Department Website.

Supported BAE as an Appraisal Wizard Librarian in the preparations and during a SCAMPI A appraisal. The final result was a SEI CMMI Level 5 rating.

GEC Marconi - Wayne, NJ Software Engineer II - 1990 to 1999

Wrote and tested Transmit RF and TACAN Test software for the MTATS station used in ATP testing of Radio Terminals. Code used commands to Labview to direct a TACAN simulator and recorded and analyzed resulting data. The MTATS system was written in C++ Object oriented design methodologies used to verify MIDS radios.

Provided testing support of the JIS system at Boeing in Seattle and the Point Loma Naval base in San Diego.

MIDS LVT Test software - 6 years on the team involving the designing, developing, testing and documenting imbedded real-time test software in ADA and C running on HP UNIX. Primary area was in multiple Host simulations. Additionally performed some support with customers in France, Spain and Italy.

The Singer Company - Wayne, NJ Software Engineer - 1972 to 1990

Part of team that developed and maintained software for COMMANDS a pseudo-real time test system driven by scenario data simulating Host, navigation and Radio Network Community data. Eventually Team Lead. Software written in Fortran and Hewlett Packard Assembly running on an HP 900 RTE system used in testing Link 16 waveform for a variety of platforms.
